    As students have recently learned, the majority of us are ineligible for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit. PLEASE contact your local MP letting them know this is unacceptable as student work is often seasonal and many of us have lost summer jobs. should be universal.

    Students holding summer jobs that generally designed to not qualify for EI are specifically excluded in the plan. Seems like we do not only forget to screw over but retroactively exploite our youth during this pandemic

    As someone who's been in university full time and only working unrecorded freelance gigs for the past year, I, like 1/3 of unemployed Canadians, am ineligible for EI or . Students, freelancers, stay-at-home parents, and countless others aren't eligible. We need UBI now.

    If I applied for EI and got refused for it because I didn't have enough insurable hours, can I apply for CERB? Or will I also be refused for CERB because I got refused for EI? I meet all the criterias for CERB, I'm not sure what will happen because I got refused for EI.

    I have emailed my MP a coupe of times about what people who don’t qualify for or EI are supposed to do & I never got an answer. I know this is a busy time, but with non-answers, contradicting info & no relief in sight, I’m starting to believe the gov’t would rather me dead.
